Soren Knapp!

Hello friends and family!

As you know, Soren is in the middle of his freshman year at Brophy College Prep. He has fully embraced the many opportunities for growth at Brophy by working hard in his course load of nearly all honors classes and one AP seminar, playing on the defensive line for the Broncos Freshman Football team this fall, joining the Brophy winter track team, joining the Red & White ambassador club and the Best Buddies club, volunteering for the Kino Border Initiative, and participating in several Brophy service projects in the Brophy spirit of “men for others.” 

Soren’s also been active in Boy Scouts the last few years. He has earned his Life Scout rank and is currently serving as a patrol leader for his troop. He's even on track to earn his Eagle Scout rank this year.   One of the other parents in the troop, Miriam, runs a school tuition organization called STO4KIDZ.org.  It’s a charitable organization that helps support private K-12 education through the Arizona Tuition Tax Credit program. When you contribute to a private school, you can also recommend that the contribution be applied to a particular student’s tuition costs. 

We learned about the 5 different Dollar-for-Dollar tax credits available in Arizona, that taxpayers can redirect income tax liabilities back into their communities at no net cost to them. This isn't a donation, but taxes we all have to pay anyhow. Plus, you can still contribute to a public or charter school under that portion of the tax credit program. We contribute to both programs, the public school tax credit to help Villa Montessori, and the private school program for another student through STO4KIDZ.org.

We appreciate it if you consider redirecting your Arizona taxes to help lower Soren's tuition. The net cost to you is ZERO, but the benefit to him is both meaningful and PRICELESS. Everyone does win! Below is what the state allows taxpayers to redirect and help us with tuition fees.
